IN SEARCH OF HORSES
for The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) National Finals
Georgia International Horse Park, April 20 – 25, 2010
As host for the 2010 National IEA Finals, Zone 4 (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC, TN) is actively looking for high quality hunt seat and western horses to participate in our show. Horses that are chosen for this National Final will be featured on the Zone 4 website and may be seen in national media coverage. Donors and horses will be recognized throughout the show and will be identified in the Show Program.
Opportunities for Sales Horses
In addition, any sale horses will be featured in a special “Sales” page of the Show Program, will wear a special hip number, and will have continual video coverage available in the show office. Many of the top junior riders in the country will be competing at this competition and with your help, they will be appropriately mounted.
Specifically, we are seeking horses that have:
* Local or Rated Show Experience
* Auto Lead Changes
* Quiet Attitude; Requiring Little To No Show Prep
* Tack Appropriate To Rider’s Ability
* Turn Out Appropriate for a National Competition
* Square, White Saddle Pad
* Basic Care Items (buckets, food/hay, brushes, etc.)
About IEA
Founded in 2002, the mission of IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools (primarily ages 11 through 19) to equestrian sports, to develop understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports through organized student competitions, to provide students with organized competitive events and to provide additional equine educational opportunities. The unique aspect of these competitions, both at the local and national level, is that none of the riders will supply their own horses or tack. Instead, the horses, saddle and other tack are all provided to the students at the show. Though the rider and horse have a short opportunity at orientation in the over fences classes, essentially, the horses is new to the rider, and the scores are based upon horsemanship, not the horse.
